Dramatic Backgrounds 4

by on June 1, 2014

Hey Dolls, how are you all doing? It has truly been insane around here. We have so many irons in the fire and have huge things in the works. It’s been crazy. Time is just flying by. I mean seriously, how is it June already? Ack! J is graduating 5th grade this week and then turns 11 the next day. My baby is not a baby any more. He has grown into a young man and I am so proud of him. He is such a good kid with such a tender heart. I cherish each day right now. He still loves to hang out with me, holds my hand in public and tells me he loves me a hundred times a day…as do I. I know the teenage years can be challenging, but I am holding on to every second right now.

This week I present to you, Dramatic Backgrounds 4. Building on this popular series, this time I have included texture overlays to bring depth, artistry and interest to your art. Get busy with your blend modes, multiple layers, change opacity, change their colors, desaturate, erase parts…in one word…play. It’s really cool to see the different effects you can create and how they change your original image. I find that adding these texture overlays are a great way to make a scene just a little bit more cohesive.

Here is some beautiful inspiration from my CT.
